No camera icon in notes

Cannot locate camera icon in notes. There is no + at bottom right

Camera icon in notes has disappeared I’ve used Notes to scan documents many times, and just today I notice the camera icon has disappeared. I’m trying scan into a new note in my iCloud account and I do have good internet access. Is it possible a recent iOS update has triggered a change in preferences or something maybe?

Missing camera icon for document scanning in Notes on iOS 18.1 I used to be able to scan documents by starting a new note in Notes, then clicking on the camera icon at the bottom of the note. Since iOS 8.1, the camera icon is gone. Is there another way to scan? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Make sure the Note you are in is part of the iCloud or "On My iPhone" folders. The Camera option is not available for notes stored in other email accounts.
