I cannot power off my phone….it seems frozen…no touch works. DO I remove the battery, if so how

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

The first two button-presses described there have to be quick, too.

If that forced restart fails, contact Apple Support.

Thank you that worked and now that it’s rebooted seems to have fixed the problem
