ERROR CODE -54

Trying to delete my iTunes library from my iPhone 8+ and pc running windows 7. I’ve deleted my tunes on the pc, but can’t delete the songs on the iTunes page when my phone is connected. I get the message cannot sync iPhone, error code -54

Both pc and phone are running up to date versions. I’ve tried 2 new data cables and tested both USB ports.

All the tunes are greyed out and have a dotted circle to the left of the tick next to each tune. I can select one or all the songs and hit delete, but nothing. My iPhone Music setting has ‘sync library toggled on, then I tried it off.

Any help would be much appreciated
