No keyboard appears for library search

I have an iPhone 13 with the latest software updates. Unless I use my phone from a fresh restart, the on screen keyboard doesn’t appear when I tap the search field in App Library. I access this function by swiping left on my Home Screen. It’s frustrating not being able to search apps! I’ve attached a screenshot of the bug in action. You’ll see the cursor in the search field and no keyboard appears! Please fix and advise.
