Go to Settings > General > About > Version. If you are at iOS 12.5.6 that is as high as you can go, the 6 series does not have sufficient RAM to run iOS 13 or later and you cannot add RAM.

The iPhone 6 cannot be upodated beyond iOS 12.x.x. It lacks the components to run newer software.
