Rename Option is not coming on MacOS Monterey 12.6

When I select a file to rename - Right Click and try to rename - Rename option itself is not available,

I tried all basic troubleshooting, but it's of no use.

Kindly please, let know if there is a solution for this.

File name disappears as I rename it. When I rename a file in Finder, the entire name disappears so I cannot see it while renaming it. When I hit return after renaming, the file name reappears. Finder Renaming Painstakingly Slow I work a lot with arranging documents so this is becoming a real issue. Has anyone found any workaround for this? Bought M1 MacBook Pro 16GB RAM a few years back and it was fine until a big update happened around 1 and half year ago or so, I cannot remember which update it was though. The renaming process has become so slow no matter whether I right click and select it from the pop-up, or click on the title of files / folders whilst one is already highlighted. Any advice would be great as this is really bugging me now. The right click option to rename from there is faster, but I dont want to be doing this every time.

Renaming Files Not Working - Intermittent - Finder Hi Using MacBook Pro M1 16" with MAC OS Ventura 13.4. I rename files from Nikon and DJI Drone for photography and videography. Everything was working fine in Finder until last update to 13.4. When renaming the file, after typing in the name and then pressing Enter, it sometimes doesn't rename, when I click back on the file to rename again, sometimes it has the original filename and sometimes it has what I wanted it renamed to. It randomly works and renames the file around 60% of the time. This is bonkers, been renaming files for years and never come across this. Might need to post a video for better explanation. Anyone else having this problem ? Thanks

Hi,

At least my MacBook Pro late 2017 running under macOS Monterey 12.6 has "Rename" option in pull down menu.

Try to force quit the and reopen Finder if it solve your issue.

If it doesn't help, boot in Save mode then normal boot could solve the issue.
