iPhone 12 pro randomly restarts

I've had this phone (iPhone 12 pro) for almost two years now I think, I got it around the same time as their initial release. Ever since updating to iOS 16 my phone will randomly shut itself off or restart. Initially, I thought it was just a bug in the initial release of the new update, but it's still happening and my iPhone is currently running iOS 16.0.2. It's a bit scary sometimes because it usually happens when I have music playing and suddenly the music stops and I look at my phone and the screen is fully black except for the numbers to show the time. Any idea what's going on or how I can fix this?
