Transfer photos from iPhone to Mac via AirDrops

Hi! I transfer my pictures from iPhone 12 Pro Max (IOS 16.0.2) to MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019, macOS Monterey 12.6) via AirDrops, iPhone and Mac use the same AppleID. When I do that, files are stored automatically to Downloads folder and the Live effect is lost. Is it possible to store my pictures to Photos, not to Downloads folder and keep Live affect?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.6

Hi nazarposhta,

To transfer your photos from your iPhone to the Photos app on your Mac, you have two options:

  1. Use iCloud Photos
  2. Import to your Mac

Review Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or PC for more information on these two methods.

Take care.
