siri not working since update

Since installing the latest update “hey siri” hasn’t been working on my iPhone 12. Connection is fine. I constantly get the same response of had an issue and try again later….

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! What is the response that you are getting when using Hey Siri? Since noticing this issue, has your iPhone been shut down? Shutting down your iPhone and then turning it back on can help resolve many unexpected issues we may face with our devices.


To shut down:



  1. Go to Settings > General > Shut Down
  2. Slide the power off slider to completely power your device down
  3. Press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears to power your device on.

If this continues, you can do the follow to test:


  1. Go to Settings > Siri & Search and disable Listen for "Hey Siri".
  2. Close the Settings app: Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support
  3. Go back into Settings > Siri & Search, enable Listen for Hey Siri
  4. Follow prompts to set up
