iPhone Photo Albums Don't Show Up After Syncing On Mac Photos?

I synced my iPhone 12's photos to my SSD external drive through my Macbook Pro and all photos synced, but the albums and hidden album created from my iPhone did not. How can I sync this to my Mac Photos app without iCloud?

Hi, thank you for your response.

I'm reading the article and it is not answering my question. I am someone who makes a lot of albums on my Photos app on my iPhone.

If I made an album called "Chicago trip" on my iPhone, I want to make sure that the items in that album sync over to my Photos app on my Mac (without iCloud). Otherwise, after I sync the photos to my Mac Photos app, I have to manually select all the items and make a separate album with the same name on my computer since it didn't automatically do that for me when I synced from my iPhone.

Is there no way to do get my photo album from my iPhone over to my computer?

Hey there lilacpastel,

You'll find the available options to import photos from your iPhone to your Mac linked below.

Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or PC

Import to your Mac

1. Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac with a USB cable.
2. Open the Photos app on your computer.
3. The Photos app shows an Import screen with all the photos and videos that are on your connected device. If the Import screen doesn't automatically appear, click the device's name in the Photos sidebar.
4. If asked, unlock your iOS or iPadOS device using your passcode. If you see a prompt on your iOS or iPadOS device asking you to Trust This Computer, tap Trust to continue.
5. Choose where you want to import your photos. Next to "Import to," you can choose an existing album or create a new one.
6. Select the photos you want to import and click Import Selected, or click Import All New Photos.
The macOS Photos Import window
7. Wait for the process to finish, then disconnect your device from your Mac.

Following these steps, are you able to select the photos from the desired album, then import them to the same album after creating it in Photos for Mac?

Have a good one!
