Apple maps guide sharing issue
Hello, I see others have had this problem but no one has brought a resolution. The issue is when sharing a guide created in apple maps over iMessage, it pops up with a guide image/link along with a loooong messy URL and when the recipient clicks it, it doesn't do anything. I discovered that it's because iMessage apparently has a text limit and the URL the guide sharing feature creates is too long. If you use other data-messaging apps like Facebook Messenger, Instagram Messenger, Whatsapp it can send the entire link and it works (when sharing, use the "copy" feature and paste in a message in those apps or share directly through those apps). I thought I'd share here since the other threads on this topic are closed and/or Apple can possibly fix the link length issue when sharing a guide through iMessage. Cheers.
