Sending mail with large attachments

I tried sending mail yesterday and its not in draft, not in bin or junk or sent mail. In the bottom left hand corner is a tine area saying Sending Message 212.1 MB - that's not the size of the document i tried to send. How can I stop this or clear this sending message any idea?

Can't send attachment. I am trying to send a PDF attachment via email. My email window says it is 26.7 Mb, but when I try to send it I get the message "Your attachment is 36.& Mb and too big to send." What's going on here>

Apple Mail won't send attachments in email. Apple Mail has suddenly stopped sending attachments in email. Whether I drop the attachment into the email or choose a file with the paper clip, all it shows is the file is downloading but never attaches to the email. I tried attaching documents in safe mode and that works but when I restart in normal mode, it goes back to not attaching documents to emails. I have just updated to Sonoma 14.4 but it was happening before the update. Help.

There should be an Outbox folder - you can delete it there.
