If I delete something from the Mail App does it get deleted from my Gmail too? And Vice Versa?

If I delete something from the Mail app do the deleted emails both go into the trash in the Mail and Gmail apps? And vice versa? If I deleted any apple mail would it delete Gmail mail as well from gmail.com?

It will delete from Gmail, to include gmail.com, if the email account is an IMAP account. And vice versa.
