Critical Alerts

You mentioned that you see a message asking if you'd like the Home app to send you alerts, and you chose 'Don't allow', but it keeps showing the message. While the message repeating is an issue itself, we don't understand what you mean by not being able to use your iPhone due to the message. Please provide more details about what you meant. The more details we have, the better we'll understand what's happening.

In the meantime, we'd like to rule out some possible causes:

1. We see you have iOS 16 installed, but the latest version is iOS 16.0.3. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad.

My wife has the same issue. Nothing gets rid of the message. Even attempting to power off the phone with the power and up arrow, i cannot slide to

power off because this message is stuck on the screen. The message is preventing all screen inputs. The phone only responds to mechanical buttons. So, powering off doesn’t work because you have to slide the screen.

So I had the same issue and i found on here that if you push the vol up button up once and the vol down button once and than hold the power button alone until screens turns completely black and phone will than power off. If the first try dont work repeat and it should work. Or try doing same steps while phone is connected to charger. Hope this was helpful..

Hello! I had the same problem! I fixed it by pressing the volume up button once, then pressing the volume down button once, and then finally holding the power button until the screen turned black.
