This process is the last option, but it’s guaranteed to work. Doing a hard start might work on some Apple Watch Series, but not on my series 3. It’s worth the effort.
Watch Series 3 non-cellular tends to be memory constrained, among other issues, and un-pair re-pair is the usual repair.
