Series 8 band that comes in box

Why did my apple series 8 watch only come with the large band? All other watches I have purchased came with small and large. Do I need to contact someone about getting the smaller strap? I ordered this specific watch because I liked how the color of the starlight band. It is of no use to me as I have a very small wrist.
