It seems that screen mirroring on iPad crashes with universal

It seems that when I’m screen mirroring my Mac to my iPad universal takes place and crashes with the second monitor app so the “second monitor” on iPad freezes and I need to disconnect and connect again from the Mac. I don’t have any problems with both, I think both are awesome features of the Apple ecosystem, the real problem here is that the freezing happens very often, less than 5 mins or so.

It’d be a nice to have if universal pauses working when screen mirroring is in progress. 😊

Hello Camilomontoyau,

If Sidecar is not working properly, you'll want to cover the basics of restarting your devices and making sure they're up to date.

Restart your iPad

Shut down or restart your Mac

Update your iPad

Update macOS on Mac

You'll also want to double check that everything is configured properly for Sidecar.

Use an iPad as a second display for a Mac

If you're still encountering issues, you'd want to contact Apple to report that: Get Support

Cheers!
