mac mail not accepting aol account

unable to verify account name or password, message I get when trying to reinstall 2 AOL accts. the account name is correct as is the password

How do i fix please

Hi, see if it's this...

Mac's Mail App is not as modern as iOS's Mail app, Many eMail providers now require a separate App Password different from your eMail password…

Then you may need Ways to securely access AOL Mail…
