Mac OS X 10.4.11 browser not working

Recently while cleaning out the garage we found an old mini Mac late 2009 model. I have been attempting to get the browser to work but it keeps giving me the error message “Safari can’t open the page (page url) because safari can’t establish a secure connection to the server (page url)” Anyone know of a fix?

You might try InterWebPPC -- it's picked up the slack since TenFourFox stopped development.

Hi,

All browsers compatible with Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger have difficulties with modern (secure) web pages. One browser that has been reasonably useful is TenFourFox. Unfortunately, development has stopped. You may be able to find older versions.

However, please check the Mac mini model. A late 2009 machine would use a newer operating system. See Pre-Installed MacOS and Maximum MacOS in the technical specification for the exact computer at https://everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_mini/index-macmini.html .
