play music through home speakers

I live in a house which has ceiling speakers in several rooms, hard wired to an amplifier/room volume control (Sonance), which presently accepts hard wired input from a CD player (Yamaha). What's the best way to be able to add music resident in our Apple devices (iPhones; iPad; Mac)? We can play that music in the iPods we also own, but are looking for multiple room music (and somewhat better speakers). Thanks in advance.

Hi Jbd45,

If your existing setup accepts audio inputs, using an AirPlay compatible device that can input into your home setup would be an easy way to accomplish this. One solution would be to use a device such as an AirPort Express which offers 3.5mm audio output which can also accept wireless AirPlay audio from your devices. Choose which speakers to use in Music on Mac outlines several methods you can use to play your audio to other devices.
