Voice text spelling name wrong

My daughters name is Ava. It’s pronounced “A-Vah”. When I use voice text, it always auto corrects to Ewa spelling. What the heck?! I’ve tried correcting in the text replacement setting and that doesn’t work. Help!

Hi Andream131,

Since having the latest software can help with overall performance, make sure you're running the latest version of iOS 16 (16.0.2): Apple security updates

If your iPhone is already updated, or if updating doesn't help, reply with the answers to these questions:

Does this happen when you use Siri to send text messages, when you use Dictation (the microphone on the keyboard), or both?
Do you notice this with other contacts as well?
Does deleting and re-adding the contact seem to make a difference?
