Microsoft Outlook App for iPhone won't launch

I am on 16.0.2 iOS, on an iPhone XR. After applying an update to the Microsoft Outlook App for iPhone several days ago, the app will now no longer work, update, etc. Open it up, it acts like its going to start and then blanks out. I have deleted the Safari cache, deleted and reloaded the app from the App Store (the icon will load, it just won't launch) and nothing. There was another update from the app store for Outlook this morning... I thought that might have fixed, but once loaded same issues persist. Interesting observation - under "Updated Recently" in the App store on my phone - even though I did update the Microsoft Outlook app again this morning, it does not show up on this list with other recently updated apps. FYI, all other apps on my phone work fine. Any ideas?

Hello BUSDEVJG,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities.

You've taken some great troubleshooting steps to get the Microsoft Outlook app to work correctly on your iPhone XR. If you're still seeing that the app closes at this point, check to see if the app is reporting any storage used by going to Settings > General > iPhone Storage. In addition, check that you have enough available storage there to see if the app is closing due to insufficient space.

If that doesn't help, see if you can get the email to sync with your iPhone to rule out if this is due to the connection to the servers. For assistance with adding an email account, take a look at this resource: Add an email account to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Should you need further assistance, check out the following resource to confirm all of the steps were performed. Once you've confirmed this, we'd recommend reaching out directly to their support team for additional assistance: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open - Apple Support

If you found the app on the App Store, contact the app developer. If the app is made by Apple or came with your iPhone or iPad, contact Apple Support for your iPhone or for your iPad.

We hope that's able to help out.

Have a great day!

Thanks for the reply. Yes, have validated storage is good and email syncs outside of the app. FYI, appears to be a problem for many... found this thread with many reporting the exact issues I am still experiencing Outlook iOS app is broken after latest update : exchangeserver (reddit.com)

Suppose it's up to Microsoft and/or Apple to sort it out with an App update. Appreciate your attempt to help.
