All my HomePods are saying “there’s a problem with Apple Music”

Out of the blue, all of my HomePods have started saying that “there is a problem with Apple Music”. It happens when trying to control them with Siri. If I control them from my phone or iPad, they can access the music. I’ve tried resetting the HomePods without success. I haven’t changed any settings so can’t understand why they have started to sulk. I’ve got two HomePods Minis and a HomePod and they are in different rooms. This is very frustrating.

Hi dyfthegog,

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. If you are having issues with your HomePods playing music from Apple Music, here are a few steps to try to see if they help:

  1. Restart your devices to see if the refresh resolves the issue.
  2. Confirm the devices are all using the most recent software to rule out any issues with the older software.
  3. Try the steps listed here to see if these help: Play audio using Siri on HomePod - Apple Support

Have a great day.

Today, none of the HomePods would respond the “Hey Siri” and I’m afraid none of your suggestions worked. I finally sorted the problem by removing all from the Home app and re registering them. Now working as they should. I have no idea why this happened, as they seemed to stop working one at a time and not all together. Anyway, now working as they should.
