My AirPlay on my Visio tv rarely works. Doesn’t matter if it is my iPad or iPhone. I’ve reset the AirPlay network multiple times. Chromecast works great, but AirPlay is a mess. Some apps only use AirPlay. I’m tired of watching on my iPad when I have a smart tv. Please help!!

Does the 4-digit AirPlay code show on the TV and a pop-up box appear on your iPad to input the 4-digit code that appears on your TV?
Are all your devices connected on the same home wireless, WiFi MODEM/router network box and same login ID and password?
My iPad says it is linked up to my Visio smart tv, but the TV just has an AirPlay generic screen and isn’t showing the video. It happens most times I try to AirPlay a video
