Can you share more details of the error that you see - such as the error code?

If the update package is fails to verify and install, the failing (possibly corrupt) update package can be deleted from your iPad:

Settings > General > iPad Storage

Scroll down the list of Apps until you find the update package; swipe to the left, then tap Delete.

Having deleted the iPadOS failing update from your iPad, perform a precautionary forced-restart of your iPad before returning to the update page - from where you can again try to install iPadOS15.7.

Forced Restart

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
