I bought a used MacBook Pro and I do not have any user or firmware passwords. When computer comes on there is a padlock symbol and a place to type a password. That’s as far as I can get.
Return it and get your money back if you can. There is no way to bypass the firmware passcode. The only way to get Apple to remove it is to present them with the original proof of purchase for the device.
