If I block a caller or contact how do I block them from my voicemail too??

Blocking a call on the iPhone will prevent you from receiving notifications from that person, but they can leave you voicemail. If you wish for something different, you can leave feedback to Apple making that request here, Feedback - iPhone - Apple, or check with your cellular carrier to see if they have something different.
