Apple Watch mirroring not showing up

When I go into Settings>Accessibility;

"Control Nearby Devices" is seen when in fact "Apple Watch mirroring" is supposed to be . When I click on it, it keeps searching but my Apple Watch never comes up. I have installed both iOS 16 and watchOS 9 on my respective devices. I can control my iPhone from my Apple Watch but not the other way around. How do I fix this?
