Do I have to pay while Reserving the new iphone or Can I pay at the moment of pickup from apple store?

Iphone 13 pro max Ok so recently I bought an iPhone 13 pro max 2 months ago on monthly payments. Now as we know that the new iPhone has launched on 7th of September. The question is that can I give back my iPhone to apple and get the new iPhone without using the trade in? Or can I cancel the contract and get the new iPhone?

The payment isn't charged until you pick up the iPhone but you will have to provide a form of payment to order it.
