Stop a large file from downloading from iCloud

I was trying to download a small PDF that I need that was stored on iCloud, but instead, I accidentally clicked on a 60 GB video. It is now downloading on our very slow WiFi, and it will not let me access the PDF I need until the video file is done downloading. Is there any way I can stop the video downloading so I can access the PDF? This is not an isolated occasion, so it would be great to have a solution for future reference as well! Thanks!

Hi adamdavida,

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. If you are trying to stop a Wi-Fi download, here are the options available:

  1. Disconnect the Wi-Fi so that the download pauses.
  2. Go to iCloud Settings and uncheck the download there.
  3. If the download completes, you can just delete the file.
  4. If you would like to provide feedback to Apple, here's a link to help with that: Product Feedback - Apple

Have a great day.
