Is there a way to have always on display on ALL the time and overnight?

Thanks for reaching back out. There is no setting to prevent the Always-On feature from dimming at night when charging. If you'd like to submit feedback about this feature, you can do so here: Product Feedback - Apple.

I have same issue. I dont want to bring another clock for bed for traveling. The sleep mode should have option of leaving clock on screen all night. I have submitted the feedback. I think the users not Apple should make decision on how display looks like during sleep mode (completely dark even on Always On Display phones) and is already in charging mode (saving power isn't a good excuse).

I agree that the Always On feature should remain on through the night, especially since it's on a charger. I really hope the Apple allows the iPhone to be used as a dim, subtle unobtrusive display clock at night next to the bed.

It doesn’t dim at night or during the day.

It turns the screen OFF.
