I’m not getting “show recently deleted” in message under edit, I’ve downloaded iOS 16 this is what supposed to be one of the new features, so where is it? Has anyone tried yet?

Tap on "Filters" in the upper left corner of the main message screen. "Recently Deleted" is at the bottom of the list.
Ok, I got what u mean, it’s working now. I had to delete some thing for it to create deleted retrieval, but what I was looking for, was how to retrieve the messages that have been deleted a couple of weeks ago before I downloaded. ISO 16. I thought it would retrieve those also but I guess not thank you for helping me get this issue fixed though if you can think of another way to retrieve my past texts, please I’m all ears.

No, you can only retrieve deleted items that were deleted after you updated to iOS 16.
And what happens if you delete something?
Mine says “Edit” not filters, and I only have three drop bars, select message, edit pins, edit name/photo. that’s what I meaning I don’t have the fourth one of retrieving deleted messages, but I have downloaded iOS 16, so I do not understand why I don’t have it did yours change from edit to filters when you downloaded iOS 16?
No, it's been that way for quite a while. Try going to Settings>Messages>Unknown & Spam>Filter Unknown Senders and turn that on.
Ok, now I have <filters when I click on it it swipes, right, and all of my texts are in different groups
