In ios16, you can no longer type in an iMessage conversation name as a shorthand for all of the contacts in the conversation group. This makes it frustrating when trying to forward an article via iMessage. Anyone figure out how to re-enable this?

An article you may find helpful is Create and manage groups of contacts on iCloud.com that would allow you to create contact groups for easy sharing of articles and other items.

I'm finding the same. I have an iPhone 11 and recently upgraded to iOS 16. When I compose a text now, I have to include each member of a group chat in order to message the group. If I had done this before, I'd type in one member of the group and the group chat would be 'discovered' and easy for me to click on and continue on in the chat.
It’s been driving me crazy. I have so many named chats and it was easy to send directly to everyone.
Bill. Start a text with 3 people. Then name that text. Now go to an app of your choice and try to share something with that named group. You can’t. You have to add each contact 1 by 1.
