Monterey 12.6 upgrade and all Notes missing

Installed Monterey 12.6 Monday night, MacBook Pro M1

All of my Notes are missing. Retained 1 note from February, not sure why, but all others missing.

Shut down notes and restored the ~/Library/Group Containers/group.com.apple.notes from Time Machine from 2 hours before the Monterey upgrade, but no difference.

From another user here tried logging out of iCloud (Notes is checked to sync), restarted the Mac, then restarted Notes -- no difference.

Am I missing a setting somewhere????

Solved -- there is a grayed out item in the left pane -- Google -- open that and all the notes appear. Why do they close it after a system upgrade? And for heavens sake make it more obvious! (Putting the number of notes next to it, even if closed, would be a great idea!)
