iOS 16 Message Failure

This article has some steps that can help when you can't send a group message. You may need to leave the group message and start another one or get re-added to this one if possible.

"If you have issues with a group message

If you’re in a group message and stop receiving messages, check to see if you left the conversation. Open Messages and tap the group message. If you see a message that says you left the conversation, then either you left the conversation or you were removed from the group message. You can rejoin a group message only if someone in the group adds you.

To start a new group message:

1. Open Messages and tap the Compose button .
2. Enter the phone numbers or email addresses of your contacts.
3. Type your message, then tap the Send button .

If you have other issues with a group message, you might need to delete the conversation and start a new one. To delete a group message:

1. Open Messages and find the conversation that you want to delete.
2. Swipe left over the conversation.
3. Tap Delete."

Ever since the iOS 16 upgrade, I am not able to reply to group messages. Even group messages where I have recently been added, or the group is brand new. Starting a new group message is not an option as the group was not started by me. When I create new groups, I am still not able to reply. Also, it seems that people with android phones are not able to receive my messages any longer. What is going on and is Apple going to submit a fix? Clearly this is a known and large problem. What is going on? Thank you.

I agree, I wonder if the update that came out today will help.

Yes, I’m having the same issue wit iOS 16. Very frustrating!
