IPad Pro will not show IOS 16, only shows IOS 15.7 as latest SW ?

Unlike iOS16 for iPhone, released yesterday, iPadOS16 is not due for release until sometime in October. 

However, iPadOS 15.7 was also released yesterday - incorporating essential security updates.

Settings > General > Software Update … when it's time , you'll see it there .

16 is currently only out for iPhones. Check again in October.
