Upgrade to Catalina (or latest OS) failed at 1 minute

I see from others that Catalina OS upgrade failed at 1 minute mark.

i am upgrading now and also failed at 1 minute mark. Tried to power down and back on; computer won’t go back on.

Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro 15″, OS X 10.11
