Why does HomePod Mini never work properly? “I’m having trouble finding your Wi-Fi “? The network has never changed nor has the password! I spend too much time trying fix all “!” In the app what a missed opportunity.

I came here searching for answers to the same exact issue because I have to say I have almost ALL the apple products available (e.g. home pods, AirPods, iMac, MacBook, Apple TV, Watch, iPad, etc) and the home pods have to be the absolutely worst product apple has sold yet! I will never recommend HomePods ever, well maybe to my worst enemy but certainly not to friends.

Like the OP I have to tinker with my HomePod minis almost every week. I love your idea about disabling the 5G band on my router but that's total BS if that works and is the issue. I had a similar issue with my PS5 where I had to disable iPV6 which is also BS. Thankfully Sony got their crap together and fixed that issue so I was able to turn on iPV6 again because speeds for whatever reason were more consistent with iPV6 enabled.

I use the 5G band for my Apple TV because I get zero buffering or hiccups compared to when my ATV was on the 2G band. I get 400+Mbps on my 5G while I barely get 50-75Mbps on 2G. So disabling the 5G isn't really an option for me because using it makes for an overall better experience on my Apple TV. 😔

I do wish the HomePods had the ability to connect to the wifi network directly like the Apple Watch can.
