Whenever I plug my iPhone into my Macbook it shows all my hidden photos

Please keep my hidden photos hidden on all devices. Please.

I, and many users, use the hidden photos feature in photos on my ios devices for private photo's that I do not want other people to see while looking through my recent album. I understand that this feature was originally intended to help people organize their photos, but I would bet that most people use it to hide private photos, and it's greatly appreciated. My issue is that when I connect my iPhone to my MacBook, all of my hidden photos pop up on my screen for the world to see. Being my most sensitive photos, it is extremely frustrating, embarrassing, and disrespectful. Totally unbecoming of the standard to which I hold apple products.

So please allow hidden photo's to be hidden on all platforms. I know you originally intended the feature for one purpose, but it has grown into something else and needs to be updated.

P.S. If there is a way to do this, I'd appreciate knowing. So Far, I've tried importing the photos, but once I hide them on my MacBook, they appear in the import list again...Frustrating, to say the least
