Safari stopps loading webpage

from time to time, safari refuses to load any webpage. Firefox looads without problems. Only help is restart the mac. what is this?

Safari Does Not Load Certain Web Sites I'm running a MacBook Pro Mid 2015. Running macOS Monterey 12.7.2. Safari 17.2.1 Recently Safari on this Mac 'hangs' when trying to load a few of the web sites I frequently use. I down loaded a virus scanner and my mac is clean. I downloaded Firefox and can load the web sites easily. I can access these same sites on my husbands Mac (MacBook Pro 2016 - running macOS Monterey 12.6 Safari 16.0). I've done all the potential steps found in the forum (cleared cookies, cleared history, checked extensions, tried to open in a private window, etc.). Any suggestions are appreciated.

Safari 'This web page was reloaded' issue on macOS Sequoia Since upgrading to sequoia (on a macbook pro core i7, OS15.1.1), at least twice a week I have to reboot because Safari hangs, continually saying "This web page was reloaded because a problem occurred".. It happens with ALL web sites. Quitting Safari and restarting the App does not help - the only cure seems to be rebooting. A pain, but this so far always fixes it. Anyone have any ideas? safari will not open web pages Safari 16.1 on MBP 12.6.1 Monterey Safari will not open pages, especially those at top of a search. Multiple pages freeze or load only partial content. Safari itself is glitchy, has random slow-downs and short-terms freezes which do not seem to be related to computer activity. This has been an issue for several versions of Safari, including the latest. I tried the multiple suggestions from Apple support (like reload, purge history, etc) none of which do anything. Anyone has a solution or explanation? Other browser like Edge and Brave work fine...

Apple support's article (link below) may help troubleshoot.

If Safari on Mac isn't opening a web page or working as expected – Apple Support

Sometimes third-party (non-Apple) apps can interfere with the smooth operation of Mac.

Eg: try turning off / uninstalling / unnecessary virus-checkers, ad-blockers etc.)
