2011 MacBook Pro w/ MacOS High Sierra which cannot be updated

I have 2011 MacBook Pro w/ MacOS High Sierra which cannot be updated. Certain websites cannot use this Safari version. Do have to buy a newer Mac so I can update the OS version?

You could use a different browser such as Firefox or Brave.

or, you need a newer Mac.
