I keep getting this
"installation failed"
"an error occurred during installation"
this happens whenever I install anything from the browser and from the app store. I searched to see if anyone else has had this problem but no. The only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with when I migrated my data from my old macbook air(intel) to the new M2 air. do I need to reset this mac?

your example sounds more like you are having an issue installing applications...
Can you give an example of an application you can not install...?
What happens if you Control click on the install package
are there any other associated error messages...
Are you logged into an Admin account? >System Preferences>Users & Groups
Are you signed into your AppleID in >System Preferences ?
Did you set up the new M2 using the Setup Assistant or Migration Assistant?
