Will Catalina running 10.16.7 allow me to connect to my IPhone 7 running 15.6.1

My 2019 IMac is running 10.16.7 and my IPhone 7+ running 15.6.1. Can I accept the upgrade?

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

Yes. The update described in the Related Article above is a driver patch, not an OS upgrade.

For reference, Catalina is 10.15, not 10.16.
