macOS Monterey upgrade notifications keep appearing

I upgraded my MacBook to macOS Monterey but now I keep getting notifications telling me to upgrade to macOS Monterey. Is this a bug with the Monterey updater, or with my machine?

My issue: I keep getting notifications from Apple Update to upgrade to Monterey even though I am already up to date with the most recent Monterey update.

Hi grandexar,

If you'd like help with your Mac update notifications, you might find this information useful.

Restart your Mac
- On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > Restart.
If you don’t want app windows that are open to reopen when your Mac restarts, deselect “Reopen windows when logging back in.”

This information is from Shut down or restart your Mac. While a restart may sound like a simple step, it often resolves issues like this. If the issue remains after following those steps, let the community know the precise version number of macOS you’re running found in Apple menu > About This Mac (underneath where it says macOS Monterey in large lettering.) While we know you mentioned you are up-to-date, it’s a quick step to see if your version number matches the latest public release.

We hope that helps with your question and take care!
