Apple ID on iPad no longer exists.

I have an old email address on my iPad that I no longer have access to consequently can’t logon to change it.

Do you have Notification email address on the ID?

If you forgot the Apple ID (iCloud) password, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password. See if you can get a Rescue or Notification email option. Link to contact Apple Support at the end of the 2nd article.

If you know the password, you should be able to sign out of the Apple ID.

If necessary, if  you are the original owner, contact Apple. Apple can remove the ID  if provided the required paperwork to include the original purchase receipt with the serial number on it.

You used to be able to take the device, the original purchase receipt with the serial number, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store (if it has reopened) and have them remove the ID. This may have changed, so call the store before going to make sure they can help.

I don't have a receipt, I won it at an IT conference in Vegas about 8 years ago. I was using my company email to logon and now that company has dissolved. I do not remember the password because I haven't logged on in a couple of years. Unfortunately, I guess my ipad is going to be trash. If I get to a city that has an Apple store, I might take it with me to see if they can help. Not looking real hopeful as it may just be a flat brick now.
