Apple remote no power after charging

Is the apple remote like the pencil, it goes dead if left uncharged?

Batteries will deplete slowly over time, even when not used (much), but that should be in the order of many months.


What is your model Apple TV? Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support

What is your model remote? Identify your Apple TV remote - Apple Support


Verify that you charged in the way as intended. Charge the Siri Remote - Apple Support

Try restarting the remote and/or pairing the remote again, if the remote doesn’t work. If your Apple TV remote isn't working - Apple Support

Contact the Apple Support staff if you need more help.
