Crossfade not working in Music (version 1.2.5.7)

Recently, I received my new MacBook Air; the Music app is version 1.2.5.7 and 'Crossfade Songs' doesn't work at all. I'm not using AirPlay, the songs are not lossless and it isn't an album. The files are stored on the computer (local) and crossfade worked normally (using the same files) on my old MacBook Air using iTunes - the 12.6.2.20 version.

I would appreciate any suggestions. Otherwise I think that this is a serious bug.

Looking at it as a logic puzzle is probably the only way to stay sane (I think).

There is another update however, The crossfade issue returns if you launch Music after a bluetooth device has been connected. You can also tell that something is wrong because the progress indicator on the MiniPlayer is entirely whited-out. Disconnecting, then reconnecting the Bluetooth audio device seemingly solves the issue (until you switch to another device).

I'll have to try and replicate the problem with wired headphones, but I now think that establishing bluetooth connections somehow causes Music to act-up.
