iPad: Forgot (Third-party email) Apple ID's password

One of my parents forgot the Apple ID password on their iPad, which they used a third party email (gmail) to sign.

Now, this gmail is not even accessible anymore (username cannot be found on sign-in page nor cannot be created on Google Accounts page).

They only remember the 6-digit Passcode, so they can still use their iPad in a daily basis.

However, it often prompts a small window asking for the password, which this email is not even working, so let's say... it's unrecoverable.

I was wondering if there's a solution for this account problem.

Thanks in advance.

If they forgot the Apple ID (iCloud) password, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password. See if they can get a Rescue or Notification email option. Link to contact Apple Support at the end of the 2nd article.

Apple ID - Manage

Apple ID – Forgot Password  *

If they have 2 Factor Authentication enabled, if they can't recover the password using the steps above, they will need to use Account Recovery. The Recovery Process is an automated process and the length of time it takes can vary a lot. Apple ID Support can only answer their questions. They can't intervene in or speed up the process. The article below has some suggestions to shorten the time the process takes.
