Apple CD/DVD Driver extension

Hi, could someone please help me to download the Apple CD/DVD Driver extension for Macos catalina 10.15.7 ?

(I precise thath I don't know anything about Mac or PC.)

Hi,

Thank you for your time. I don’t have a CD/DVD insert in my Mac, that’s why I purchased a drive. But my laptop won’t recognize the drive. So I think that I need to download a driver, but I don’t know which one.

If it doesn't show up in System Information, check the manufacturer's website.

That's a Mac OS 9-era component. The corresponding one for Mac OS X is part of the system and doesn't need to be managed manually.
