White circle with exclamation mark on pics

iPhone SE

When I take pics on my iPhone after a short amount of time the pic will show this white circle with exclamation point inside on the lower right corner. Once it is there it appears that maybe the file is so large that it will no longer send to a contact in a text bc when I try it says the is not enough memory and to manage the memory go into settings, etc. BUT if I take a screenshot of the pic with the icon and send it immediately, I can attach it to a text and send it.

Originally I thought it had to do with my iCloud being full so I have been paying extra every month for 1TB but I am still having the issue.

Does anyone know how to resolve this? Or know what is causing this?

Hi dontknowmucheither,

Thanks for posting in Apple Communities.

It sounds like your iPhone storage may be full. To handle this behavior, back up iPhone to iCloud or your computer and then remove any content that you do not need on iPhone. Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage to see what is taking up the most space and remove it accordingly. Right below the storage bar you will see recommendations to assist with removing content.

Find additional steps in How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Regards.
